My name is Shelly Paulk and I have been a Rapha House volunteer for a year and a half. A friend first introduced me to Rapha House and told me about their Freedom Salon. Being a stylist for the past 20 years, I was intrigued by this prevention program. As I further researched Rapha House, I fell in love with this organization and felt God calling me to get involved. In March of 2016, I joined an awareness team and my eyes were opened to the depths of the Rapha House organization. Since my trip to Cambodia, I have become an advocate for Rapha House, and constantly making small groups, friends and family aware of the human trafficking and sexual exploitation that’s happening. I feel there are many people that need to hear they too can help make a difference. Outside of sharing my new passion, I volunteer every Monday in Rapha House’s home office. My time there is spent filling orders, mailing letters, cleaning or helping with merchandise. No matter what it is, it's me that feels fulfilled when I leave every week. At Rapha House I am surrounded by other freedom fighters that share the same love and passion every time I walk through their doors. Raising awareness in hopes to help open more eyes is every bit worth everything I do for the millions of child trapped in the dark world of human trafficking. I couldn't be more blessed to be part of this calling!
