Motherhood

By Gabe September 24th, 2018

Motherhood isn’t the anticipated chapter in a child survivor’s story after being rescued from captivity. After discovering their pregnancy, victims of sexual exploitation and human trafficking are confronted with immediate decisions to make. They are in charge of another child’s life when they are just children themselves.

The child survivors at Rapha House have astounded us time and time again with their dedication to be excellent mothers. They have set a standard of unbelievable selflessness when it comes to adjusting their own future to meet the unpredictable needs of their child. Without any expectation that this season would be a part of their story as young teenagers, these child survivors use their new freedom to be mothers that deeply care and love their own children.

There is no limit to what these young, fearless mothers will do to ensure the best for their children, and it is humbling to see the example they set in what it means to love sacrificially without hesitation. They are profoundly impacting their communities, one child at a time.

Thank you for your prayers and support so stories like this can exist.
