Making Safe Choices in Today’s Digital World

April 04th, 2019

We are so grateful for yesterday's opportunity to host St. Peter's Catholic Middle School of Joplin, MO at our Rapha House headquarters!

Twenty-eight amazing seventh graders from and their two teachers visited to learn about modern-day slavery and warning signs they can recognize when students or their peers are in an unsafe situation.

"I didn't know" is unfortunately one of the most common phrases attached to the testimonies of children who have been exploited. The more informed children and teenagers are about issues like sexual exploitation and human trafficking, the less vulnerable they become. This is why Rapha House International strongly encourages adults to educate today's children on how they can make safe choices in a world where interacting with strangers on social media is inevitable.

Thank you, St. Peter's, for making the time to give us this opportunity!
